A random walk will get you somewhere…
I’ve rediscovered this unloved blog through a somewhat random route. On Facebook, a friend mentioned how he was going to quit FB and move back to Google+… which made me hop back on Google+ (something I’d not done since 2014 by the looks of things). I then flapped about trying to figure out how I could post something privately on Google+, which resulted in some Googling… which suggests that the interface was not intuitive, or perhaps I’m so conditioned to FB/Twitter in this regard (possibly a seed for a separate blog article!). Then I thought I’d tell my friend about ello.co – another wannabe social network that seems to be even less popular than Google+ (yet another seed for a blog article :)) then finally as I was browsing on my past posts on Google+, I ‘accidentally’ clicked on one of my posts which were in fact a blogger post back to this blog – again somewhere I’d not ‘checked-in’ since 2015.

So I got to see some blasts from the past Internet roadkill or probably more accurate to describe them as Internet Zombie sites (another gem of a post possibly).
Drink your own coolaid…
As I scrolled through a few articles on this blog (that I wrote), it occurred to me that some of the articles still read well and had some insight that so far has proven valuable. I started my own startup in the last 5 years and it would be interesting to reflect on my musings here and whether I took my own advice! What is odd is I can’t even remember writing some of these articles, they must have overlapped with startup times.
Let’s see if the bounce back to Blogger / G+ / Ello is more than a passing fad… perhaps I’ll do another post in 3 years time :)!
p.s. the inspiration for the zombie references came from a recent viewing of the excellent Walking Dead series.
